Manhattan Loft
This is a total renovation of a big part of an old apartment which got transformed into a contemporary space, borrowing and combining modern, classic and gothic elements of design, having at the same time a futuristic vibe.
We designed the multi-functioning and sub-spaces of the living room and we also designed and custom-made the following: the library, the bar, the office desks, the sofa table, the TV area furniture, the painting with its white frame, the lighting, the black-framed double glazed aluminium windows across the sofa area side, as well as on the 3 perimetrical sides of the initial veranda, which now became an extended part of the interior of the living room. Our supervised teams of technicians appropriately placed and installed all.
Additionally, we restudied the heating system and changed it in order to meet the new demands of the space, both functionally and aesthetically. Since we extended the size of the living room by making the initial veranda part of the interior – by installing the double glazed black-framed aluminum windows- the heating had to be upgraded in order to cover the needs that the additional square meters created.
As far as it concerns the aesthetic part, we designed and installed the new heating units in places that would make them almost “invisible” (we dug the walls enough for the heating units to fit in and not stand outside of the outer surface of the wall and we also painted them black, as the black wallpaper cladding on the walls).
We designed and custom-made the wardrobe you can see in one of the photos, combining the white wood with the newly done by us micro-cement floor, giving a simple, minimalistic and light look to the room.
We completely renovated the two bathrooms of the apartment -each one in a different way than the other, as you can see in the photos- with both sharing and reflecting similar aesthetic overall impressions. The modern and minimalistic design and overall aesthetic of both bathrooms, blend well together and match with the design and aesthetic of the rest of the transformed, renovated apartment. In both bathrooms, we exclusively designed, custom-made and installed the basin furnitures.
We did a thorough market research, the sampling to the client and together with them we chose and provided the high-end designed Italian white leather sofa, as well as an Italian white armchair, the black wooden parquet with its white framing fitting on the wall, the gothic chandeliers, the black and gold-colored wallpapers, the custom-made green wooden window blinds and the wooden white door.
Our teams of technicians, following our designs and instructions, custom-made and appropriately installed all elements. In the end of the renovation, nothing reminded of the old spaces. Our client was super satisfied and happy with the result and so were we. She named the new place “Manhattan Loft” and hence the name of this project.
